Positive Effects of Our Tutoring
“More confidence to speak up, speaking louder and more clearly and making eye contact, and making more of an effort to describe things differently when vocabulary was lacking” — this is how one teacher describes the impact of our support on a child’s self-confidence. The survey of teachers at our partner schools also clearly shows how the vast majority of teachers have observed a remarkable increase in learning motivation among the students since the tutoring began. These results motivate not only us, but also our tutors, to continue their work with the same dedication as before!

Workaway: Kirsty in Cape Town
Our 18-year-old scholar Kirsty (on the left) is also gaining first work experience abroad before starting university. Despite the political situation in South Africa, we were fortunately able to make her stay in Cape Town possible. There, she is spending several weeks assisting at her elder's (on the right) hair salon with small tasks such as washing and braiding hair. Through this experience, she is naturally meeting people from a different cultural background and, as she has told us herself, has even made new friends.
